Our Mission: Igniting Potential, Changing Lives
At SK Bebuloh, a group of young learners awaits the opportunity to grow, learn, and succeed. For many, mastering the essential skills of reading, writing, and arithmetic (3M) is a challenge. These foundational skills are key to academic success and future growth, yet they remain out of reach for many students in Kelas Pemulihan (Remedial Class).
Through Bright Minds Corner—Empowering 3M, we aim to provide these students with the tools they need to succeed in school and life. As students of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), we are committed to enhancing their educational experience, not just by providing academic support but also by transforming our learning environment into something exciting, inspiring, and welcoming. But we need your support to make this vision a reality.
Who We Serve
We are working with 40 young students, ages 7 to 9, in Kelas Pemulihan (Remedial Class) at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bebuloh, who are facing challenges with foundational learning skills. These students come from underprivileged backgrounds where access to quality educational resources and opportunities is limited. Yet, their passion to learn is clear.
With your help, we can provide them with the tools and environment to nurture their curiosity, spark their imaginations, and give them the confidence they need to excel.
What We Are Trying to Do
We are on a mission to:

Provide interactive 3M learning kits (books and small whiteboards) to strengthen their literacy and numeracy.

Repaint and reorganize their classroom, creating a bright, engaging environment where they feel inspired to learn.

Incorporate creative murals and educational decorations to make learning fun, sparking curiosity and creativity.

Build a stronger connection between UMS students, teachers, parents, and the wider community, working together to create lasting change.
How the Funds Will Be Used

Progress So Far
We’ve made significant progress in the development of Bright Minds Corner—Empowering 3M at SK Bebuloh. We’ve held productive meetings with the Sekolah Kebangsaan Bebuloh leadership, where we aligned on project goals and received overwhelming support from the community. Our team has also had several planning sessions to refine roles and responsibilities, ensuring smooth execution of the project. Additionally, our fundraising efforts have officially kicked off, with positive responses from the school's committee members and the community.

Misi Kami: Menyemarakkan Potensi, Mengubah Hidup
Di SK Bebuloh, sekumpulan murid kecil sedang menunggu peluang untuk berkembang, belajar dan berjaya. Namun bagi ramai daripada mereka, menguasai kemahiran asas membaca, menulis dan mengira (3M) bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah. Kemahiran asas ini amat penting untuk kejayaan akademik dan masa depan mereka — namun masih sukar dicapai oleh murid-murid di Kelas Pemulihan.
Melalui inisiatif Bright Minds Corner—Empowering 3M, kami berhasrat untuk menyediakan alat bantu pembelajaran yang efektif agar mereka dapat berjaya di sekolah dan dalam kehidupan. Sebagai pelajar Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), kami komited untuk memperkasakan anak-anak ini — bukan hanya dengan sokongan akademik, tetapi dengan menceriakan suasana pembelajaran mereka agar lebih menyeronokkan, menginspirasi dan mesra pelajar. Tetapi kami perlukan sokongan anda untuk merealisasikan impian ini.
Siapa Yang Kami Bantu
Kami bekerjasama dengan 40 orang murid di Kelas Pemulihan SK Bebuloh, berumur antara 7 hingga 9 tahun, yang menghadapi cabaran dalam menguasai kemahiran asas pembelajaran. Mereka datang daripada latar belakang keluarga kurang berkemampuan, di mana akses kepada sumber pendidikan berkualiti amat terhad. Namun, semangat mereka untuk belajar tetap tinggi.
Dengan bantuan anda, kami boleh menyediakan suasana dan kemudahan pembelajaran yang akan menyuburkan rasa ingin tahu mereka, membangkitkan kreativiti, dan memberi keyakinan untuk terus berjaya.

Time Constraints & Academic Schedules
As university students, balancing academic responsibilities with this community project can be demanding. However, we’ve created a flexible work plan and assigned clear roles to ensure tasks are completed on time without compromising our studies. -
Insufficient Funding
If we fall short of our fundraising goal, we will prioritize essential items, especially the 3M Learning Kits, and implement the project in phases so the children still benefit over time.
We’ve established a risk management framework and regular progress check-ins to address any hurdles early. Team spirit, adaptability, and strong community support are the foundation of our resilience.

I’m in my final year at University Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus, majoring in Bachelor of International Finance (International and Offshore Banking). Bright Minds Corner – Empowering 3M at SK Bebuloh is a service-learning initiative spearheaded by my team under the SULAM (Service Learning Malaysia – University for Society) program. We have formed a meaningful collaboration with Sekolah Kebangsaan Bebuloh and the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) to uplift and support remedial students (Kelas Pemulihan) aged 7 to 9. These students are struggling with mastering the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic (3M)—the very foundation of education. Our mission is to crowdfund RM3639.26 to provide reusable educational materials, whiteboards, and reading resources and to transform their classroom into a more engaging, colorful, and conducive learning space through murals, painting, and reorganization. This initiative is not just about providing tools but about empowering young minds, closing educational gaps, and fostering a love for learning among students who need it most. “Every child deserves a bright corner to grow their mind. Let’s build it together.”
